In 2024 and 2025, the M2Child team participated in the Nutrition and Food Congress of the Portuguese Nutrition Association with two poster presentations: “Fruit diversity negatively correlates with anxiety and depression symptoms in ADHD children” and “Interplay between dietary diversity and systemic immune-inflammatory markers in ADHD”.
The project’s nutritionist, Sofia Pinto, presented the studies, which highlight the role of dietary diversity in modulating behavioural symptoms and immune-inflammatory markers in children with ADHD. These findings reinforce the relevance of nutrition in research on child mental health and neurodevelopment.
